Directions for project:
Your child is to create a book or a poster that explains all of the following information:
1) The scientific name of your animal (this is the Latin term for the animal)
2) Vital Statistics of your animal: weight, length, number of young, birth interval, typical diet, life span
3) Profile of your animal: What special body parts does your animal have? Why are these parts important?
4) Habitat of your animal: Where is your animal found? Does your animal migrate? If so, where? When?
5) Behavior of your animal: Does your animal live alone or in a group? If in a group, what is it called? Does your animal make sound or communicate in some way?
6) Hunting of your animal: How does your animal hunt for food?
7) Conservation of your animal: Is your animal hunted by man? If so, how is it used? Is your animal endangered?
Your child may create a book or poster however he/she would like. Please remember it must be your child’s creation. Have a great time learning the information about one of God’s special creatures!!
