A Russian MIG

I think this is a Hornet.  A US fighter.

A Huey, an important vehicle in the Vietnam

The nose of the Lockheed Martin X-35
prototype for the Joint Strike Fighter.  This
is the actual jet that performed the "hat trick."

See the hat with the cards in it on the tail wing?
A hat trick is a hockey term for scoring three
times.  This jet took off vertically, landed
vertically and flew supersonically in one flight.

I think this is the first vehicle to perform the
so called hat trick.  The reason it was performed
was to out-do the Boeing submission for the
Joint Strike Fighter.  This jet was subsequently
selected over the Boeing jet.
